It is equipped with Rockfield SWV (Select Wound Vintage) pickups that provide a classic tone with an edge. The Special X Mockingbird has a neck-thru body design, 24-3/4" scale, and an ebony fingerboard. The body wood is nato, producing clear tone and strength through the instrument. The mahogany neck and ebony fretboard complement the clear sustain, and the Grover Super Rotomatic tuners keep the instrument in precise tuning from song to song.
