Kustom KG100HFX and KG412 Half Stack

The Kustom KG100HFX from the KG series is a classic 100W guitar amp head. It offers 2 channels (Rhythm and Lead), tone controls, and digital effects. The amplifier head will work with a wide variety of speaker cabinets, delivering 100W of heavy, powerful guitar tone.

The Kustom KG100HFX amp head's Rhythm channel offers clear, dynamic tones that are perfect for a wide variety of musical styles. Using the Gain control, the Lead channel can dish out anything from chunky classic rock sounds to the heaviest, scooped metal tones out there. The amp head's separate bass, middle, and treble controls let players fine-tune the tonal response as required.

In addition, the Kustom KG100HFX amp head provides built-in reverb and delay effects that may be activated on the amp's front panel. Reverb can provide anything from subtle room ambiance to an all-out wash of cavernous sound. Delay is perfect for fattening up lead tones, especially when combined with distortion. The Kustom amp head's Chorus adds a shimmering, liquid-like quality to the sound, especially with chords.

Like every Kustom KG amp, the KG100HFX offers an auxiliary input for plugging in an MP3 or CD player to practice, and it features an 1/8" headphone input. Now you can use your Kustom KG100FX to practice along with MP3s all without the need for a speaker cabinet. Just plug in your headphones and rock.

An Effects Loop with Send and Return jacks provide flexibility for integrating external effects and processors. A single-function footswitch (not included) may be used with the Kustom KG100FX to switch between Rhythm and Lead channels.

All Kustom KG Series amplifiers including the Kustom KG100FX amp head provide a 5-year, transferable electronics warranty to give buyers extra piece of mind with their purchase.

Slightly smaller than a traditional 4x12, the Kustom KG412 guitar speaker cabinet is built with plywood for enhanced resonance and loaded with 4 - 12" Kustom speakers. It handles 120 watts RMS/240 watts peak. Just wait until you hear it.

DiMarzio Steve Vai Evolution Humbucker Set

The DiMarzio Steve Vai Evolution Humbucker Set contains 3 well-designed pickups: the Evolution Neck F-spaced (neck), the Evolution V2 Middle (middle), and the Evolution Bridge F-spaced (bridge). Easy to install, they'll bring a collection of Steve's favorite tones to your guitar while reducing noise.

The Evolution Neck and Bridge humbuckers are the result of two years of research to come up with the right sound for a very demanding player: Steve Vai and his Ibanez Jems. Both pickups are designed for maximum impact and power. The neck pickup is fat, punchy and loud. The bridge pickup is tight, aggressive and louder. Both pickups have our patented dual-resonance configuration to reproduce more harmonic overtones than conventional humbuckers. Evolution pickups are not polite-sounding, and they're not for the inexperienced, but — if you've got the chops and a hot amp — your sound will burn. The Evolution pickups were originally designed with live gigs in mind, but they have so much presence and definition that they're great recording pickups, too; they slice right through even the densest mix.

Evolution Neck (neck)

Recommended For: The Evolution neck model will work in almost all solid-bodies and most semi-hollow bodies as well.

Tech Talk: Obviously, the Evolution was designed for Steve's Ibanez Jems, but it can add a lot of punch and definition to Les Pauls and similar set-neck guitars - even the lowest bass notes really jump out of the amp, and feedback occurs easily with a wide range of harmonic overtones.

Evolution V2 Middle (middle)

The DiMarzio ISCV2 single-coil pickup is specifically designed for use with DiMarzio Evolution Neck and Bridge models in a wiring configuration made popular by Steve Vai. When the 5-way switch is in the 1 or 5 position, you hear the neck or bridge humbucker. When played in the 2 or 4 position, the middle single-coil combines in parallel with one coil of either humbucker and produces a distinctive tone with hum cancellation. The middle (3) position gives a true single coil sound which is not hum canceling. A schematic of this wiring configuration is included with the ISCV2.

Evolution Bridge (bridge)

Recommended For: Bridge position in solid body guitars.

The Evolution bridge pickup works best for soloing where the sound must cut through. Low notes are very tight, and the highs have a lot of presence, enabling the pickup to be heard in almost any situation. Obviously, the Evolution was designed for Steve's Ibanez Jems, but it can add a lot of punch and definition to Les Pauls and similar set-neck guitars - even the lowest bass notes really jump out of the amp, and feedback occurs easily with a wide range of harmonic overtones.

Features:

  • Versatile collection of Steve's favorite tones
  • Quiet performance
  • Great value
